Quick start

This quick start follows the basic TO3000 workflow from installation to payment.

Install the current release and start the application.

See:

If you are moving from an earlier release, use the Upgrade notes instead of treating the new installation as an empty production database.

A fresh installation can be used in evaluation mode. If you already have a licence, register TO3000 with the licence/serial key issued to you.

See Registration.

Choose the workflow structure that matches your practice:

  • With Projects — group client jobs under projects.
  • Without Projects — manage client jobs directly for each client.

See Workflow modes.

Create the client you will work for, then create the client job. If you use the With Projects workflow, create or select the project that contains the job.

Record the information you need later for deadlines, pricing, invoicing, and reporting.

When work is ready to bill, create a client invoice and link the relevant work.

Review the invoice amount, payment terms, due date, taxes or discounts where applicable, then produce the required invoice document.

See Invoices and payments.

When the client pays, record the incoming payment and link it to the invoice so TO3000 can show the paid amount and remaining balance.

Create regular backups, especially before upgrades, restores, or major configuration changes.

See Backup and restore.
